State of me
May. 6th, 2011 12:01 amApologies to everyone, but particularly ruthyf who I still owe auction fic to. I'm nearly at the end of term, but I'm also in one of my worst writing dry-spots for years. No energy, no words, too many plot bunnies. I need to take a couple of days to get the caffeine out of my system, because all it's doing is keeping me awake, so I can't sleep, and I need more caffeine the next day to merely function and... ever decreasing circles, people, ever decreasing circles.
Soon I will find words, but for the moment these words were given to me byangelkitty101

So far this year, I've only been to Cardiff (apart from, you know, New Year in Sydney, then to New York, then back to the UK). I'm doing at least one trip to London to see the Dr Who exhibition and to meet Mum's new gay bff, and I need to go to Birmingham to seeangelkitty101, and back to Cardiff to do more research for my dissertation and to do the Torchwood tour, and I want to go to Brighton Pride this year and maybe a couple of others. I don't know, really, but I get around a lot. I need a job to be able to fund it.

Work in Progress meme
Mar. 15th, 2011 02:10 pmThere's a meme going around where you sum up the WIPs saved on your computer, but I can't do that because I don't work like that. I finish a chapter or short story and I post it, so no fragments sitting around. Any fragments I do have are scraps of conversations or descriptions that don't actually fit into a wider story yet.
What I do have are a couple of ongoing stories that I'm in the middle of writing and posting.

I hate driving with a passion, but I do like my cars pretty. I'm also a big fan of Top Gear.
My top five cars that I would like to own are:
1. Mazda MX5 from 2005 - lovely car, and this is my favourite model for the shape. Is pretty
2. E Type Jaguar from 1963 - I gave Jack one of these which runs across all my 'verses, and I am very jealous.
3. Aston Martin DB9 Volante - Do I need to explain?
4. Rover 75 - Better looking than the Jaguar it was competing with, and got a good review from James May. I approve.
5. Lamborgini Gallardo - in powder blue. It's so pretty!

When I was 11 (9 years ago, if you're counting), I joined a Lord of the Rings fan forum. I was blonde haired, blue eyed and fairly slim, and fancied myself as Galadriel, but Galadriel and Galadriel11 were both taken, so Galadriel1010 I became.
Then I joined LiveJournal as Galadriel1010 and ignored it for about a year, thus forgetting my username. Came back to use it, tried to sign up as Galadriel1010, thought someone had taken my username becasue my usual password din't match and set it up with a different name. 1010 because I always am, and Fiwen because it's Rachel translated into Sindarin.
So I am Fiwen1010, but I sign myself as G.

I didn't start using LJ properly until Spetember, as evidenced by the fact that I posted a few times every couple of months up to that point, and then every day in October. Can you say 'burnout'?
February 15th:
"If Gwen Cooper knew what she was doing, she could easily be considered one of TV's uberbitches – a woman who manipulates those around her to get what she wants, puts down her competition and makes others do the work she doesn't want to do, then makes them feel bad for doing it."
Start as we mean to go on... This was a fun post about everything I hate about Gwen, pretty much. And three paragraphs of explaining why Cyberwoman was her fault.
March 25th:
"A little bit of everything:"
I did a WIP meme. I only had 3 WIPs with postable stuff at the time, though. I never really have many more, because I finish something (chapter at least), post it and then move on to the next thing, so I have no unfinished documents that haven't been laked.

"Ianto had the Tourist Office door propped open to enjoy the cool sea breeze off the bay and let some natural light into the grubby office whilst he worked."
Oneshot about Ianto not speaking Welsh.
