26 – What is the oddest (or funnest) thing you've had to research for a fic?


Naturally, being a Torchwood fanfiction writer, I have done quite a lot of research into sex and treatment of injuries. Also a lot of research into Cardiff through Torchwood's history, housing options around the Bay, things like that.

My research projects for this story have been luxury hotel suites and luxury yachts. It's a hard life being my characters :P

OMG I laughed out loud when I saw your meme as I thought back to what had researched.
From Anglo Saxon names and their spellings and meanings to what happens when
someone severs their femoral atery. Had to revise my story Heart and Soul seriously after finding out. Bascially you die in approx 7 mins even today with all the modern tech its a killer if its high in the groin. Even further down the leg its doubtful you will live long enough to get help.

What is a Henge, Anglo Saxon everyday life, etc.

In my latest story I've researched male rape and the damaged it causes to severe PTSD.

and Bute park in Cardiff to name just a few.

All of my searches make me seem like a drug addict and I keep cracking up as I type into google. :D
