To do list

So, my to do list for today looks like:

1) Get someone out to fix the boiler Someone's coming after 5
2) Do or do not go to seminar Didn't get there. It doesn't start for 15 minutes, but it's half an hour's walk away and I'm not dressed. Boiler took precedence
3) Plan order of stories from first immortal Ianto bingo card Done
4) Make notes on 'Film-Induced Tourism'
5) Respond to feedback stuff on Jack_Ianto_LAS
6) Read through schmoop_bingo stories to get them in order
7) Write first bingo story
8) Start reworking masterlist

Oooh 'Film-Induced Tourism' sounds kinda interesting. Does that mean I've seen a city in a movie (Paris, in French Kiss, for example) and as a result, I want to/am going to Paris for a holiday?

Pretty much. It's everything from me going 'ooo, New Zealand has pretty mountains' when watching Lord of the Rings to people going there to dress up and wander around Hobbiton. It's a really interesting field that's not had that much research done into it.
I'm looking at tourism in Cardiff that's driven by people wanting to visit Doctor Who locations specifically, and I'm planning to do my third year dissertation on it and possibly go on to do a post-grad degree in it.

Tourism is fascinating. I need to talk to my tutor about it, but I'm hoping that I'll be able to get in touch with toursim Cardiff and work closely with them on my dissertation. Might even get it published

I read "It's a really interesting field that's not had that much research done into it" as a statement saying that most pieces of land were in fact used for something, filmwise, and now tourists were going to fields that hadn't been used because they were so rare.

I've got my brother working on the wormhole, but he thinks it oculd cause universal stability problems.

I've added hoovering to the list but, yeah, it's still fairly simple. I do actually need to get dressed so that I can let the boiler man in (and I had to tidy my bedroom bcause that's where the boiler is *sighs*)
