Yes I did the same with my first online forum, used part of my name anyhow. But this is such a different place to that, so I didn't ever feel the need to use the same one.
It really occurred to me big time when there was a massive outcry about something a fan had said, it was to do with a conversation she had with JB. Massive wank with people writing long dissertations on their journals. I had seen the original thread at the time and thought nothing of it, because I figured JB is a grown man into his 40's, being paid thousands to attend these conventions and be nice to fans, as they say, he will laugh all the way to the bank. Plus, in fact what she had said was very very tame, he'd asked her at a signing if she was planning on watching series 4, she said "no", reported it back on a thread somewhere, and that was it. Anyhow when the wank ensued I checked her journal, she was 16!! I was just horrified that this poor kid was being so bullied, and the people writing all the essays were more than twice her age. I felt ashamed of the way grown ups act. I saw she posted that she had been crying with her Mum, who had actually been with her and assured her she hadn't been rude to JB (As I said, JB, poor baby, as if he cares). Anyhow it was only one example, but when I think of how silly I was at that age, and passionate about things, I could have made a massive fool of myself online, these kids aren't bad at all.
