Mad Trip Day 26: Melbourne

Moved out of the dorm at about eight and flopped in the common room, making use of their internet until about 1, then took my stuff up to the new room and emptied my bags to run up to the storage locker and the Highpoint. Got noodles (yay!) and grabbed about half of the stuff from the locker. Had real problems getting my bags onto the tram, and cracked the glass I'd wanted to keep in the process :(
Got back to the hostel eventually and dumped all of that, then turned around and went in search of Aldi for drink. Found it and bought too much to carry back easily, then settled down in the common room again to do more catching up on stuff. Ended up doing a thought-dump instead.

And I think that that is where we leave this trip, as it's over. It's been awesome. I'll get some of my photos up soon.

Welcome back to soggy old Melbourne! Cold and rainy - we turned the heater on again last night.

Enjoy your time here, but don't forget your winter woollies, because I have a feeling you might need them, if this weather keeps up, LOL.

I know! It's so bloody cold. I'm sure it was warmer than this when I was here last :S

Had to spend today wandering around buying stuff (ralised that I have $100 for my entire time here - promptly spent $30 on a back issue and the current issue of Diva. Whoops?) But being back in Melbourne is just like being home...

There's too much to do, I have to cook for myself and I can barely drag myself out of bed. Sounds like home.

How much longer do you have? We can do lunch tomorrow or Wed, or sometime next week - whenever you have a moment, really. I'm available at odd days, due to family things and then packing out. Just give me a call when you can, or drop me a PM.

Yeah, I was a bit worried there. Fortunately, I checked my bank balance and it's actually healthier than I thought. My deposit for the flat must have come back.

I'm here until the 31st, and mostly free. I'm good tomorrow if you are :) I was just going to pop down to the Victoria Market and do some scrapbooking, but you're much more interesting :D

Okay - a plan is made! I have no clue where in Melbourne you are and I only really know the south end (as in where I am, Hampton, Brighton, that sort of thing). Any ideas/times?

I am in North Melbourne, and I know the North West and the centre fairly well. I can meet you under the clocks at Flinders at about lunch time?

I can do that. Say - 12.30ish? I carry a bright red handbag and I'm twice as old as you, not to mention short! Here is an awful photo of me, just so you have an idea what I look like!

Will be catching a train in on the Sandringham line, not sure what time they run, but will do my best to be there on time. Don't wander off without me!

wow. you sad that you're done? heh, sounds like its been amazing... :) i'm so glad you got to do all that... been fun to follow on your adventures on here, and can't wait to see the pictures, hun. :)
