We then went out to a radio telescope place with an awesome museum. It's a lovely drive out through the country, alongside a rather swollen river (there was a tent in a tree and signs of flooding across the road), and the place is hidden in this beautiful valley that shades it from phone and radio signals which could interfere. For real! He was a technician, and he has the only Snoopy award badge in Australia, which he got for disobeying orders from higher up, with the permission of his direct superiors, to find the solution to a problem and probably save lives. Home via Aldi, and then we had dinner and watched the first two episodes of Sherlock. OMG you guys I'm in love. Seriously. I want Moffat's brain babies. I'm not going to be writing fic of it, because I don't have the mind to write mysteries like that, and I don't think I can ship it. Not yet, anyway. Maybe with a full series to get my teeth into.
