Dear Author, or possibly innocent bystander.
Please excuse the wall of tags below. I requested many, most of them on certain themes, and thought it would be easier to give you the tags and include the fandoms with them than give you the fandoms and repeat the wall of tags each time. All: Torchwood Fusion:

Torchwood is my original OTF, and I'm still tragically in love with it after all these years. The worldbuilding was paper thin on the show, but its implications, seeded into Doctor Who and other spin-offs and explored tentatively on the show and subsequently, is fascinating. I love that in Jack we have a continuous narrative going back to the Victorian era, with the possibility to explore so many different periods, places and crises. I'd love anything where the two worlds coexist and always have. This is particularly interesting with the Folly rubbing alongside Torchwood (presumably not comfortably) but I'm also rather in love with the idea of Raffles and Bunny being recruited into Torchwood either at the end of the TV show or instead of the ending they got in Knees of the Gods. With David and Thomas, I'm equally open to the idea that both Torchwood and the Folly exist, or a full AU where they work for Torchwood instead.

*Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)
* David Mellenby/Thomas Nightingale (Rivers of London)
* Peter Grant & Thomas Nightingale
* Jack Harkness (Torchwood) & A.J. Raffles (Raffles)

ALL: Modern Paleontologist AU:

I know next to nothing about paleontology, particularly modern paleontology, so I am all ears. I think any of these couples would make brilliant paleontologists, but some of them would really hate the remote work needed by the modern paleontology. I'm honestly not married to the period, so if you want to take it back to the Victorian era or just pre-computers, that is also equally cool.

*David Blaize/Frank Maddox (David Blaize)
* Peter Grant & Thomas Nightingale
* Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade

ALL: canon events are a tabletop role-playing game played by the characters:

Preferences for Lestrade and Nightingale shepherding the others. I've picked out the key characters, but whoever you want to pick from the ensemble casts I'll be over the moon, and if you decide you want to cross it over with one of the other fandoms and have Nightingale DMing a Sherlock episode or Shadowhunters story for Peter and Beverley, or whatever, I am in your hands.

*Peter Grant & Thomas Nightingale
* Sherlock Holmes & John Watson & Greg Lestrade (Sherlock Holmes & Greg Lestrade & John Watson)

ALL: Bookworld/Jurisfiction/Thursday Next AU:

I think all of these characters would make exceptional Jurisfiction agents and get up to absolute chaos. Is every unexpected and unexplained burglary actually a plothole fix by Bunny and Raffles? I don't know, but I want to. Please feel free to throw them into the background of any book fandom I've written or that you think I'd enjoy, because by TBR pile is mountainous and I take recs more than willingly.

*David Blaize/Frank Maddox (David Blaize)
* Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)
* David Mellenby/Thomas Nightingale (Rivers of London)

ALL: Everyone Lives/Nobody Dies:

Does what it says on the tin. Please save Raffles and David, I adore them so much. My heart cannot handle the truth.

*Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)
* David Mellenby/Thomas Nightingale (Rivers of London)

ALL: Sherlock Holmes Fusion or AU:

There's so many ways Victorian era Holmes could cross paths with these two couples and I am deeply intrigued in all of them. They could be working together or against each other, playing a cat and mouse game or racing against the clock to save the world. I want them all. Go to town.

*Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)
* David Mellenby/Thomas Nightingale (Rivers of London)

ALL: A and B are secretly married the whole time:

I am absolutely fine with this remaining a secret at the end of the story, or known to only a couple of members of the ensemble cast, or was known to all but a select few until the reveal. I just love these ships. David and Nightingale are obviously never on the page together, apart from in the most recent Moments (which is so utterly adorable I can't handle it. It went out in his email newsletter last year, if you haven't got it and want it then HMU and I will hook you up), and Mycroft and Lestrade only appear on screen together a handful of times, but I love the potential of how well they could fit together given half a chance. Even a comfortable evening on the sofa reading in silence sounds perfect.

*David Mellenby/Thomas Nightingale (Rivers of London)
* Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade

ALL: Characters pretend to be a couple/married to solve cases so often that they catch feelings:

I have a type for fiction, alright? It's middle aged men (or, you know, inexplicably immortal ones) who have been colleagues and friends for so long that they can finish each others' sentences, and who then get together for some reason. Fake dating for cases is as good an explanation as any.

*David Mellenby/Thomas Nightingale (Rivers of London)
* Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade

ALL: In-universe private investigators AU:

David/Frank as investigators post-university, Bunny and Raffles taking it up to cover up their crimes or instead of crime, Mycroft and Lestrade taking a different path (maybe Sherlock is the government official and Mycroft the tearaway?) And whether you go down the dramatic Sherlock Holmes school of private detective work or something rather more intimate and real world with all the challenges and drama that entails, I'm at home to all of these ideas.

*David Blaize/Frank Maddox (David Blaize)
* Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)
* Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade

ALL: Rivers of London fusion:

For this tag I had selected all my favourite TV detectives, but basically anyone goes. I have a firm preference for stories that are within the bounds of both canons, in terms of time and location, but that's no real restriction with Thomas Nightingale. Please take your favourite fictional detective and ruin their day :D

*David Blaize/Frank Maddox (David Blaize)
* Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)
* Jack Harkness (Torchwood) & A.J. Raffles (Raffles)
* Peter Grant (Rivers of London) & Greg Lestrade (Sherlock)
* Peter Grant (Rivers of London) & Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock)
* Peter Grant (Rivers of London) & Vera Stanhope (Vera)
* John Barnaby (Midsomer Murders) & Peter Grant (Rivers of London)
* Thomas Nightingale (Rivers of London) & A.J. Raffles (Raffles)
* Jack Harkness (Torchwood) & Thomas Nightingale (Rivers of London)
* Thomas Nightingale (Rivers of London) & Sandra Pullman (New Tricks)

All: Cricket Team AU - IPL:

The IPL is the biggest cricket tournament in the world, bringing together players from different nations into a single squad for one or maybe two seasons and then splitting them up again when they're sold to different franchises. The potential for whirlwind romance and heartbreak is delightful.

*David Blaize/Frank Maddox (David Blaize)
* Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)

All: Cricket Team AU - Modern domestic cricket:

I just really love cricket. Would love a very current one shoving our players together in a Covid secure bubble, but also one where none of that happens and they're free to travel around the world playing for different teams and somehow ending up in the same place one year and on rival teams the next, or two lads who've come up through their county's academy and do the full "oh my god, they were roommates", or playing for rival counties in the derby matches (I'm a Yorkshire lass, so the Roses rivalry is particularly juicy), or or or. Just people falling in love during modern cricket.

*David Blaize/Frank Maddox (David Blaize)
* Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)

ALL: Character(s) Unexpectedly Receive Lump Sum (e.g. inheritance or lottery money):

A lump sum would change things for these ships so much. For Frank and David it would be the freedom to travel and dig and play cricket as gentlemen if they wanted to, but for Raffles and Bunny it would be a real challenge to their lifestyle and particularly their morality. How would they take that?

*David Blaize/Frank Maddox (David Blaize)
* Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)

ALL: Victorian Archaeologists:

I didn't request this for Frank and David because it's not an AU? Idk, probably that was my reasoning, it was foolish anyway. Victorian archaeologists weren't all that, but many of them tried. Would prefer well-meaning but inept to genuinely deceitful.

*Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)
* Jack Harkness (Torchwood) & A.J. Raffles (Raffles)

ALL: A character has the same role but has always been a cat:

Cat AU of the canons, basically. Bunny and Raffles as housecats who live at Albany and then move to Earl's Court, Mycroft and Greg solving crimes but as cats. Either ship just curled up in a basket in front of a fire on a rainy evening, or having to be moved off someone's chair all the damn time.

*Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)
* Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade

ALL: Kingsman AU:

They'd all make great Kingsmen, right? Right. Ridiculous adventures and some explosions.

*Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)
* Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade

ALL: Test Match Special Fusion:

I love these characters. I love Test Match Special. If you aren't familiar with TMS, as it's known to its friends, it's just a bunch of cricket fans and former players sitting in a commentary box talking about cake and occasionally commenting on the match they're watching. It's glorious. The World Cup Final from 2019 is on YouTube in full and it was... incredible.
Please take these characters and put them in a commentary box. Even if they never talk about cricket but instead talk about cake, pigeons and buses down the Edgeware Road, I will be your friend for life.

*Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)
* Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade

ALL: Characters Aware They Are Fictional:

Taken in combination with or independent from the Jasper Fforde nominations. Do they rail against the injustice? Do they quite enjoy bobbing around the backstory and dressing up? Is Raffles aware that he played for both Oxford and Cambridge?

*Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)

ALL: Characters sentenced to hunt ghosts instead of go to jail:

This would be so cool. Either the 1977 version with its upbeat ending or a canon divergence somewhere during the short stories. Would be immensely fun. Don't mind whether the ghost hunting is your own creation or you throw the canon of your heart at me for me to explore.

*Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)

ALL: Female characters of color are the major players:

I think this would work really well as a modern cricketing AU, because I can go on for hours about the lack of equity between men's and women's cricket in the modern game. But equally, recasting them as women of colour in any context is going to bring with it different challenges that the Raffles and Bunny we know never had to deal with.

*Bunny Manders/A. J. Raffles (Raffles - Hornung)

ALL: Time Team AU:

Time Team is a British series about archaology. That's it. They go to a field and they dig it up over the course of 3 days, and I absolutely love it. It was one of the first reality TV shows, and the core 'cast' are absolutely brilliant, the way they work together and their different specialisms are all vital, and sometimes they have massive rows about where this feature is and it turns out they're all wrong, and then others you have a Professor of Archaeology at a prestigious university having to have really basic stuff explained to him because he was the only one free at the time they needed to film it. I just love it so much. Any or all of these characters, thrown into the trench to see what happens.

*David Blaize/Frank Maddox (David Blaize)
* Sherlock Holmes & John Watson & Greg Lestrade (Sherlock Holmes & Greg Lestrade & John Watson)

ALL: Character comes into an inheritance with strange conditions:

This sounds like the perfect set-up for chaos, mischief and kissing.

*David Blaize/Frank Maddox (David Blaize)

ALL: Archaeologists AU:

Past, present, future. Men in trenches having arguments about where to put the next one. Camping out a million miles from civilisation because that's where the site is, sharing beers around the fire on the beach with the rest of the dig team of an evening, driving up the motorway together with a Landrover full of gear, old married couple or an inadvised one night stand that ends up working out.

*Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade

ALL: Characters Were In A Relationship But Broke Up Pre-Canon:

I can see it. It seems amicable enough, which is the way I like my break-ups, but I could absolutely believe that these two were together five, ten, twenty years ago, and have been brought back into each others' lives by Sherlock. Whether they get back together... well, obviously I'd prefer it, but I also love the idea of them reunited when there is a Mrs Holmes, and working out how to be friends and colleagues and just accept that their ships have passed.

*Mycroft Holmes/Greg Lestrade

All: Muppets adaptation of the canon:

Either Lestrade, John or Mycroft and Sherlock is/are the only human characters. All others played by Muppets. I'm not going to lie, I am a bit in love with the idea of Miss Piggy as Sherlock, but that might be a whole different Sherlock Holmes adaptation...

*Sherlock Holmes & John Watson & Greg Lestrade (Sherlock Holmes & Greg Lestrade & John Watson)
