Hello! Oh my goodness, I’m so excited. This is my first time doing Chocobox, so I may have gone a little ott? Maybe. OTT is the name of the game. Thank you for writing for me, I hope you enjoy yourself as much as I’m going to.
Below are my general likes and dislikes, and some general outpourings of effusive joy about how much I love these pairings. Please feel free to use them or discard them as you wish.

General likes: I prefer G, T and M rated stuff, and generally love fluff, hurt/comfort, and do enjoy a bit of emotionally torturing angst with a solid resolution. Relationships founded in respect and friendship and mutual joy between people who care about each other and work together. I am also a big fan of relationships between middle aged couples who can have mature conversations about their feelings but can’t fall asleep on the sofa without injuring themselves.


General Dislikes: Named character death, bad things happening to animals or small children, physical injuries to feet, and exposure to extreme cold. For the last one I love snuggling in front of the fire as much as the next woman, but have a phobia of hypothermia and cold, wet gloves or socks so bizarre and extreme I already feel slightly queasy. Also generally DNW character bashing. I clearly have a thing for maligned female characters (I keep falling in love with them is what I’m trying to say)

Sherlock:

Harry Watson & John Watson (Sherlock (TV))

I find Mrs Lestrade and Harry Watson to be fascinating characters, despite the fact that they never appear on screen. I’d love stories about their relationships with their husband (ex-husband) and brother respectively, and the way that those relationships have shaped Greg and John and put them on the path they’re on now.
Harry is the first we ‘meet’. She’s someone who’s close enough to John that she gives him her phone so she can keep in touch, but not so close that he’s willing to accept her help or live with her. In fact, he chooses to live with Sherlock Holmes instead. And although he invites her to his wedding, he has an open bar that makes it dangerous for her to attend. I would love stories that explore their relationship, and anything that gives her a happy ending with a lovely lady who appreciates her would be a bonus.

All we know about Lestrade’s wife is that Sherlock thinks she’s sleeping with a PE teacher when they’re trying to get back together, and he stops wearing his wedding ring the next episode. I absolutely do not mind if you decide that Sherlock was wrong, or his information was out of date and she’d ditched the PE teacher for Greg again. I’m really interested in her life during the 5 year period between Greg meeting Sherlock and John, though, and in what happened after they split up. How many times did she have to put up with Sherlock in her kitchen at 2am? Did she keep coming to collect Greg when he fell in the Thames after their divorce? Do they have kids who she really wishes weren’t massive fans of Sherlock Holmes? My favourite version of Mrs Lestrade is Emma, in my ‘The British Government Who Came To Tea’ series, but I just love the idea of a friendly, down-to-earth, flawed but ultimately decent woman who’s a match for Greg even after their split.

Fandom specific things: John/Sherlock is my NOTP and DNW, Mycroft/Lestrade is my OTP. I like S4, including The Final Problem, and am a nerd for all things Sherlock Holmes and London.

Dragon Age:

Anders/Hawke & Hero of Ferelden (Dragon Age)
I would love to see stuff about Anders and the Hero’s friendship and where Hawke fits into that. Perhaps the Hero came to Kirkwall with King Alistair when he visited, or came to track down Anders and find out what happened to Justice, or had to attend the Champion’s inauguration, or Hawke and Anders both tracked the Hero down after the events of Legacy. However they found each other again, I just want to see three people who respect and support each other, and have come out of some real dark times with hope despite everything.

Bianca Davri/Varric Tethras (Dragon Age)
Bianca is such a badass. I really enjoyed being sassed by her as the Inquisitor, but I’d love to see more about her relationship with Varric, before, during and after it went wrong. My interpretation of canon for them is that they attempted to elope to escape her marriage to Bogdan but didn’t manage to get away in time. I DNW anything where she’s stringing him along, but something that fits with the canon of them not actually being in contact until she shows up at Skyhold would be bittersweet.
How did they meet? How good were the good days? How did they react to her parents arranging her marriage to Bogdan, and when did they decide to make a run for it? What did happen at Bartrand’s guild dinner? Have things changed since he became Viscount and the war ended? Or if you just want to do stuff based on her life in Val Royeaux and the space he left in it, that’s also cool.

I had never seen this ship before and now I’m intrigued. Did you nominate it? Show me what you love about it. Nerdy m/m love ftw.

Lace Harding/Bram Kenric (DA Games)
I just love them. He’s so besotted and such a delightful geek, and she’s so competent and badass.

In Dragon Age I really love moments that take place outside the narrative of the games and relationships based in friendship and respect, and I love to put the female characters front and centre at the heart of their own stories. Thedas is rich with wonderful f/f couples, and the more the merrier. I would love to see any of these couples fighting together, heisting together, just lying in the grass and looking up at the sky together. Anything. Let the ladies love. I am absolutely not averse to them as parents either, or just with mabari or cats.

Raffles:

Words cannot contain my love for these idiot boys. I’d adore anything set either during Earl’s Court or Ham Common days, with them just being secluded away together and getting to love each other in peace and quiet for a while.

I really love these friendships, especially Clary and Magnus, who has known her far longer than she remembers. They’re a really wonderful supporters for her as she finds her feet in the Shadow World and through a fairly constant barrage of wtf that comes at her over the years.

Their friendship is so sweet and wholesome. I love my folk music, so anything with April introducing Charlie to history through folk song would be lovely, but anything about them supporting each other through the series and out the other side. If you want to bring it up to date and see what they’ve been up to since the series, that would be awesome.

I just love them so much I could cry. Please give them soft days and warm nights and a refuge from the crap that’s happened to them. Who proposed to who? Did Matti have to explain human marriage customs? What are they doing now? Did they adopt a dog or a cat, or both?

I miss Jenny so much. She’s a fascinating character (and I have a massive crush on her) and I would love to see what she makes of River and of the Thirteenth Doctor. Ideally I’d love her to have a mother/daughter relationship with River, someone she can turn to in a crisis and know that she’ll be rescued if she needs it, who she can talk to across time and space who will always be there for her even when the Doctor can’t. That would be particularly interesting to me if they’re both trying a bit too hard to fit together, because they want to have that relationship so much but they’re also both grown women with their own issues about the Doctor and who they are with and without her.

I’d also love to see her reuniting with Thirteen and getting a mother/daughter relationship there too, and I’d be over the moon to see Thirteen and River being Jenny’s mums and travelling together. DNW incest. Just motherly affection.

Several m/m and f/f couples who I just want to see in vignette moments in a life together, and the token m/f pairing who just sound like they’d be far too much fun to leave behind. I’d love to see how any of these ships navigate their lives, whether that’s Jack and Riddell meeting during Jack’s time with Torchwood or Canton and his partner in 1970s USA having to keep their relationship hidden, Vastra and Jenny living in Victorian London semi-openly, or a few of the ships who are presumably zipping around the universe together. Anything from a night on the sofa to full on heist.
