28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?

I collaborated on my Sherlock/Torchwood crossover with the big bang artists, and I also share one of my universes with Lizzy.

In more important news, my capital city is burning for the third night running, it's getting ever closer to my friends and there is fuck all I can do about it. This has been brewing a long time, but not because of race or taxes or anything like that, but because we have let society rot.

No matter if the violence going on there still has got anything to do with that guy who got shot, I'd really like to have some sort of explanation as to what happened there, too. It reminds me of a student who got shot here with 21 hits, because he, get this, had a knife. A knife.

It's been building up for years. Young people have been abandoned for years. Having said that, I lived a fair way from anything and I still found enough to entertain myself five nights a week, so I think apathy has fed into it as much as actual abandonment.

The thing with the student is awful :( What I've heard of the case that started it over here is that he was a drug dealer with a history of gun crime, and that he at least had a gun when he was shot. The full story won't be known for months, but of course the CSI generation expects answers within a 1 hour episode.

We have a big problem here with youths, too. Some of them go around beating up unsuspecting people in train stations. Most of the criminals are people from other countries, BUT our system doesn't care for them properly. They don't have any perspective or get encouragement. I can understand that they're frustrated and don't have anything to let their frustration out on, since the government cut budgets in the social departments like boxing clubs where they can vent their frustration in a productive and fun way. It's not acceptable that they're doing this, but the government should do something FOR them instead of locking them up and point their fingers at the immigrants. There are enough German youths doing that, too.
