The Cardiff trip definitely needs to be before you go, because my deadline is also before you go. And I am hoping to go to WCC this year, because loads of my friends go and I've not managed to make it yet. (It usually clashes with morris dancing outings)
There's a guesthouse with double and triple rooms for £27 per person per night, but I've not found much else. A lot of these conventions are in really silly places - there nothing in Northampton, either, and that's where The Hub is next month (which you should come to as well. Big Torchwood convention, and I'm planning to spend most of it happily tipsy)
