This layout

Does anyone think that the purple is a bit... purple?
I'm going to try writing my own layout whilst I'm on exam leave. I should have enough CSS nous to do that after a term of web design, surely?

The purple around the entries has too much magenta in it. An ashier purple would look good. I like the one outlining the calendar and used for the labels.

Yeah, it's a bit monochromatic in a Prince sort of way.

I like the red/purple in the main part - not big on the more lilac purple around the sides.

no, its actually too NOT purple, if you get my drift. darker would be good....

you know how to make CCS's? i'm bored with mine and need a good one. how do i do that? can you make one for me? so many people have those beautiful ones with the wonderful pictures of the boys.... :)
