It's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppet Show tonight.
There are no words for how much I love the Muppets. I was 6 when they were last on TV (in a way that I could watch them, anyway), and I remember standing in the doorway of a stranger's living room, cuddling a kitten and watching the Muppet Show because we'd gone to choose a kitten on a Sunday night and I was annoyed about missing it. Definite formative memory there, and Treasure Island was my favourite film when I was growing up.
So
laligin, her housemate and I went to see the Muppets on Sunday night. And then I went to see it on Monday morning, and Lali and I went again last night, and I'm planning to go again tonight. For comparison, the only film I have ever seen in the cinema more than once is Return of the King, and that was because we went with the church youth group and then again with my family.
I really, really love the Muppets.
It's a wonderful film, full of lots of my favourite music, so many laugh out loud moments, and ALL MY CHILDHOOD
( Cut for spoilery shipping )
Pleeeeeease can we have the Muppet Show back? Even reruns, I don't care, just bring them back!
