Fic meme day 5
5 – If you have ever had a character try to push their way into a fic, whether your "muse" or not, what did you do about it?
The long answer is that by the time I actually come to writing a story I've usually gone over the major bits of the plot several times in my head, usually in the bath, so what goes down on the computer isn't exactly what I had planned but there aren't likely to be any big surprises like a character nosing in. I don't consider it pushing in in the development stages because it's all brainstorming, and they're pretty well behaved when I get to the actual writing. The only thing that does happen is Jack and Ianto dragging each other off to have sex in quiet corners or not, depending on which I intended.
6 – When you write, do you prefer writing male or female characters?

I think the weirdest I ever had was this: the whole Torchwood team sitting around in my head watching "The Eleventh Hour" and commenting. Now, that was a funny dream...
