Torchwood Convention

So the idea of a Torchwood convention is still whizzing around in my mind. It would be 'classic' Torchwood centric, and mostly revolving around meeting other fans and having an awesome time.

Would anyone be interested in a Torchwood convention in a castle? The one I have my eye on is quite expensive and would only take up to about 100 people. But it would be fully catered, possibly including three course meals in the evening and full english breakfast in the morning. In a castle.

That sounds fun but expensive. Can has discos and classic episode screening? (:

The one I'm looking at does 24 hour business conferences for £225 per attendee, including one night's accommodation which is normally £125. A full convention would probably work out at £500 with on-site accommodation, which is a bit too much :/

If the timing worked out, I'd be very interested, indeed. :)

Awesome :D I need to do a survey on one of the comms.
(I am totally on fire at the moment. Organisationally, not literally...)

Oh, me likes castles and classic TW. If timing and travel worked, yeah, why not? Collective squeeing over TW is always good. And a castle!

The collective squeeing would be awesome! I have so many ideas, and it would only need about two dozen people for a baby con.

Well, to be honest, I went to the last Hub to hang around with friends more than anything else - and I'm thinking of going to the next one for the same reason: friends, squeeing, and dressing up in silly costumes without being given weird looks (sort of). So a small con, with squeeing, would be good :D

*thinks who else could be roped into attending...*

The Hubs are great for that. I'd almost rather dispense with the panels entirely lol

I kinda did that this time around LOL I suspect if I go to the next one I'll be the one in the corner saying "Could you keep the bloody panel down, it's interfering with my chatting!!!" LOL

Depending on cost I'd come, and I'd bring my inflatable pteradon...

Cost could be high. But I'm thinking of running mini cons as well which would not be in castles.

Oh, sure, do this after I leave the country! :p

(We do need to talk about Wales Comic Con, though, if we're still gonna do that...)

I'm sorry, darling. You'll just have to come back. ;)

And we totally do. I'll try to sort accommodation this evening.

I think my mother might be coming... And we're camping.
