State of me

I'm a bit out of it at the moment. Don't cope well with the cold, as you probably know by now, but I've been getting out more than I usually do because I've been going to see laligin. I only have two days at uni this year, which means starting at 9 on Tuesdays and finishing at 6.30 with a three hour gap in the middle, but also means that my motivation on the other days is negligible.

Even fic isn't really picking me up. I'm head over heels for Mycroft/Lestrade at the moment, and I have loads of stories I want to write, but it just seems... I dunno, I just can't actually make myself do it. Pen to paper is going better than fingers to keyboard, but it's still not really happening. I'm really, really glad I decided to go on hiatus, because the last thing I need is any pressure on that front.

Do need pressure on the university front, though. For my dissertation, I've got about half the responses I need on my survey, and I need to get more discussion going but I don't know what I want to talk about. I also need to start bringing my lit review together, but I need to see my tutor before I can start that so I can sort out the framework. I'm hiding from the snow. I have bad memories of it from last year, it makes me feel trapped. Am not happy about this. *shudders* And I know what you mean about not getting things done. I need to force myself to the library tomorrow to try and get some work done, seriously. Ugh.

I was sick and at home for over one week now, will return to work tomorrow, but my cold isn't completely gone yet.

The writing thing, yeah, I kow the problem. I have ideas for at least three fanfics, but I just can't start writing. No idea why. :-/

I feel your pain. I have a Very Important thesis to write that is due in two months...and I haven't even really started research. I have almost no guidance for this thing, and it's very difficult to figure out what to do on my own. :(

That said, I have a suggestion. A lot of your questions have been a little open-ended. I would love to talk about my experiences, but I have SO MUCH to say and I can't possibly write it all up at once. Maybe asking very specific questions? "What did you do when you visited the shrine" "How often have you been to Cardiff" "If you have not been to Cardiff, why?" "Did you go by your self or with someone else? Who?""Did you do any official tours?" "What did you do at the plas?" "Where did you get your information about Cardiff?" Just...very specific stuff. Maybe that will help?
