All of this I think just means that you are a writer and you can't help it. It all sounds perfectly normal to me.
And the murder mystery thing... well I'm writing one and when I started it I didn't even know it was a murder mystery let alone have any idea about who dunnit. So I think the answer to that question will just come to you when it's ready. This too feels normal to me.
