“And I'll probably die,” she pointed out.
Jack's jaw tightened. “That I never would forgive him for.”
“You would,” she shook her head sadly. “You already have. Just make sure you've chosen my successor by then.”
Oh, I loved that. It was perfect.
I really like your characterization of Yvonne. She seems to mean well, but somewhere she got lost.
